About this Website

This website is for everyone,  but especially the people who live in the communities of Bulverhythe, Pebsham, Sidley, Crowhurst, Hollington and Filsham, in East Sussex.

​

One thing you all share is that your communities all touch on Combe Valley with its marvellous landscape and many vital species of wildlife and plants. I will soon be putting PDFs on this site for parents to download for their children  - to learn about the wildlife in Combe Valley.

​

This site is being developed to give each community a sense of their own individual history - and to encourage local groups to start a local history society if there isn't one already.

​

Eventually when all data has been entered, I will be opening up a Forum facility for you to use - to chat about past and current times in your communities if you wish to.

​

Then later I hope to be able to ask you for memories of times past that we can record for others to learn about and for schools to debate.
